The appointment yesterday of a new Board of Directors of Duro Felguera represents the beginning of a new stage, once the company has been consolidated, energized and strengthened.
The Board, together with the CEO, Jaime Argüelles, is already working to advance the promising future of the company in order to take advantage of the great business and growth opportunities that arise in the sectors in which the company operates, mainly those related to industrial decarbonization and energy transition.
We extend our warmest welcome to the new members of the Board of Directors. With their extensive experience and knowledge of the business, they will play an important role in generating synergies aimed at developing the company’s full potential:
- Jaime Isita Portilla (new Chairman of Duro Felguera) is CEO of Grupo Prodi with extensive experience in the industrial and infrastructure sectors and a very active role in the company’s operations and projects.
- Eduardo Espinosa Bustamante (Vice President of Duro Felguera) is an economist with studies at Harvard Business School and a long management career in both the private and public sectors. A specialist in strategy and management, he has participated very directly in the capital increase operation.
- Mónica Raquel Rodrigues Sequeira, an economist, is CFO of Mota Engil Mexico and has more than twenty years of experience in all areas of the financial area, such as accounting, treasury, tax management and others.
- Gerardo Tietzsch Rodríguez Peña. Industrial engineer, consultant, investor, entrepreneur and banker with extensive experience on boards of directors and an outstanding career in the banking sector. He was for 15 years deputy director of investment banking at Banco Mercantil del Norte. He currently manages the financial services company Alana Capital.
