Duro Felguera holds the vice-presidency of Auxiliary Industry in the recently created Spanish Association of Renewable Ammonia (AEAR). Its objective is to contribute to the energy transition, promoting different actions that foster the entire value chain of renewable ammonia, which is aligned with the strengths of Duro Felguera in the sector.
Duro Felguera Green Tech has been awarded a grant of 2,175,000 euros under the RENMARINAS call (IDAE), for the development of the WAVEASTUR project, which involves the installation of three wave energy converters (WEC) of 350 kW each, in the waters of the Port of Avilés.
Year: 2023 Scope: execution, under the BOP turnkey EPC modality, of these three plants, which will have a total capacity of 165 MWp.

Duro Felguera has been awarded a contract by OPDE Energy for the construction of three solar photovoltaic plants called Covatillas 2, 3 and 4, located in the municipalities of Castillejo de Iniesta, Granja de Iniesta and Puebla del Salvador, in Cuenca (Spain).

pHYnix, an independent renewable hydrogen producer, has selected DF Green Tech, Duro Felguera’s renewable energy division, to develop the turnkey contract (EPC) for the construction of the Vitale production plant, located in Alcázar de San Juan (Ciudad Real). The contract includes the detailed engineering, civil works, supply and installation of main equipment including the electrolyser (Cummins) and compressors (Howden), and the commissioning of the plant.
The filming, last May, took place at Duro Felguera’s headquarters and at the DFCP workshop, among other locations.
The project consists of the installation of several devices capable of capturing clean energy from the movements of the ocean waves and using it to decarbonise the Port.
Jaime Argüelles, CEO of Duro Felguera, participated this Monday in the conference “Opportunities and challenges of offshore wind energy in Asturias”, organised by Compromiso Asturias XXI, with the collaboration of the Gijón Chamber of Commerce and the Jovellanos Forum Foundation.
The object is the construction of permanent infrastructures for the serial production of foundations for the offshore wind market, as well as the alternative expansion of the storage area for the manufactured equipment.
