In the first half of the year, Duro Felguera was awarded the overhauling of fourteen turbines in power generation plants in Spain, France, the Netherlands and Morocco

The contracts were won through DF Mompresa, a subsidiary of the company .

Duro Felguera thereby consolidates its national and international leadership in the delivery of this type of service.

Thursday, 30 July 2020. Duro Felguera, a Spanish company specializing in the delivery of turnkey projects and the provision of specialized services in the energy, mining & handling and oil & gas sectors, has been awarded several turbine overhauls in power generation plants since the end of January through its subsidiary DF Mompresa.

Of particular note are the projects at the Almaráz (Cáceres) and Ascó (Catalonia) nuclear power plants, the Barranco (Canary Islands) and Aboño (Asturias) thermal power plants, and the Huelva biomass plant, at the Mallorca incineration plant, at the combined cycles of Son Reus (Mallorca), Castejón (Navarra), Cartagena Groups 1 and 2 (Murcia) and Castelnou (Teruel), the Safi power plant (Morocco), the Toul combined cycle (France) and the Magnum-Eemshaven combined cycle (Holland).

Some of the projects have already been successfully completed and were carried out during the state of alarm declared after the break-out of the COVID-19 pandemic. In order to complete work, all the additional safety measures required were taken in order to guarantee the safety of employees at all times.

Duro Felguera thus consolidates its position in the business of turbine maintenance, where it boasts a leading position in Spain and in which it has experienced significant growth in the international market.
