Friday, 23 July 2021. Duro Felguera, a Spanish company specializing in the delivery of turnkey projects and the provision of specialized services in the traditional and renewable energy, bulk handling, oil & gas, energy storage, new technologies and smart systems sectors, has been awarded a contract to take part in the assembly of the thermoelectric power plant of Termocandelaria in Cartagena de Indias (Colombia) for Técnicas Reunidas. The price of the contract is 6.2 million dollars, over 5 million Euros.
The scope of the contract includes both the mechanical and electrical assembly of the BOP (Balance of Plant) for the cycle closure of the Termocandelaria gas-fired power plant. Along with the electrical assembly, Duro Felguera will also assemble the instrumentation and supervise operations.
The delivery deadline is 11 months and the contract will consolidate the company’s operations in Colombia, where it has been delivering projects in the energy, oil & gas and specialized services sectors since 1994.
This agreement allows the company to maintain its activity in Colombia and in the region, and to continue providing the market with its superior technical and operational capacity for projects and clients with high technical, health and safety and quality requirements.
