In view of the open consultation process to carry out a plan to resize the workforce, Duro Felguera wishes to insist on the following issues:
1. The Company Management is promoting a transformational process to achieve a sustainable and solid future for Duro Felguera. Within this process, it is essential to adapt our structure to the real needs of our current business and our future challenges. The company currently employs a total of 1293 people and the measure would affect 16% of this total, understanding that this is the minimum necessary adjustment.
2. The Company’s Management wishes to convey a message of confidence to customers, partners and employees, and to emphasise that it is the different actions that make up this plan for the future that will lead us to reposition Duro Felguera in its rightful place of leadership; to this end, the strategic and responsible management that is being carried out is absolutely key.
3. In this regard, it should be recalled, as already reported, that orders have been improving in recent months despite the difficulties caused by the market situation and the geopolitical context. To date, order intake for 2022 is 144 million euros and we plan to exceed the figure of 300 million euros by the end of the year, exceeding the order intake target established in the Feasibility Plan (276 million euros).
4. Finally, we insist on the need for the dialogue that has been initiated to be productive and to culminate in the most appropriate agreement for our workers.
