Duro Felguera has been carrying out intense work in research, development and innovation practically since the company was founded over 160 years ago.
The R&D&I work at Duro Felguera is aimed at maintaining the Company’s competitiveness through a clear commitment to quality, with projects of high technological value and oriented towards obtaining new products and processes.
Duro Felguera has a business R&D&I centre in the Principality of Asturias, which operates under the DF Innovation Hub brand, developing work in the following areas: Smart Intralogistics, IoT and automation, Energy efficiency, Data Science – AI, Datacenters, Transmission lines, Energy storage, Integral water cycle, Circular economy, Decarbonisation of industry and Efficiency of industrial services.
The company is a member of Innovasturias and the Polo del Acero business association, as well as the TIC Cluster and the Principality of Asturias R&D Business Centre Network.
Our company has been included in the TOP 50 of the Ranking of Companies Committed to Youth 2024, delivered by the International Youth Organization for Ibero-America (IYO) and DCH – International Organization of Human Capital Managers.
Duro Felguera has recently joined Recruiting Erasmus, an initiative led by PeopleMatters, a consultancy firm specialising in people management, which aims to facilitate contact between partner companies and Spanish and foreign students, whether through an Erasmus scholarship or another training programme, who want to make the leap into the professional world.
The company has launched the Corporate Learning 2023 / 2024 Training Plan, which reflects Duro Felguera’s commitment to training as an investment for professional and personal development through learning and continuous improvement, placing people at the centre of the transformation and growth process.
