Duro Felguera continues to win contracts to carry out highly specialised maintenance work with some of the country’s most important clients in the energy sector, and always in activities in favour of decarbonisation and energy transition.
In Tarragona, Duro Felguera has created a new delegation that aims to consolidate the company’s presence in the important industrial area near the port. Over the next few months, metal-mechanical work will be carried out in connection with the shutdown of the fuel area of the Repsol refinery in the Catalan city. Work will be carried out on units 617, 618 and 641, with a peak workforce of around 100 workers.
This work will serve as a lever for Duro Felguera to participate in the important investment projects planned in Tarragona, combining proximity to the customer with the company’s capacity and know-how.
The Tarragona chemical park is one of the most important in Spain and is currently facing a series of actions in favour of decarbonisation that involve implementing new systems that leave fossil fuels behind. The refinery has set 2030 as the date for completing these decarbonisation processes.
